Reduction Lino Printing
Work with Associate Artist Heidi Sharp to unleash vibrant layers and captivating depth in your prints with the magic of Reduction Linocut.
You are booking a two-part course
How does it work?
- Start with the lightest colour: carve away all areas that will NOT be printed in this first layer.
- Print the first layer: ink your block and print it onto your paper.
- Carve again: cut away more of the block to reveal the areas for your next colour.
- Print the second layer: ink with your new colour and print it over the first layer.
- Repeat: continue carving and printing each subsequent layer, working from light to dark, until your final image emerges.
With luminous layers you can create stunning depth and dimension with overlapping colours. No two prints will ever be exactly alike!
